Where our Highest Standards are Maintained

At IFAS, we have established three Centers of Excellence to ensure our training, policies and procedures, and implementation approach are consistent with our quality standards across various client environments. Each Center of Excellence (COE) is comprised of highly skilled and relevant subject matter experts who collaborate and consult with one another to ensure our clients get the best possible solutions through cross-pollination, technology and tool sharing, research and analysis, and lessons learn discussions.

Our Centers of Excellence are designed to allow access to knowledge and optimize how work gets done across four primary service areas:

Program Budgeting & Cost

Focuses on standardizing best practices for how to effectively implement budget and cost requirements. Employees and clients benefit from company-wide adoption and advice on execution of tasks such as:

  • Developing Cost Models
  • Providing Cost Estimation and Analysis
  • Establishing and Maintaining Program Budgets

This COE facilitates a disciplined and accountable approach among stakeholders and/or subject matter experts to help our clients define and understand programmatic, technical, and cost baselines at all stages of the program life cycle.

Accounting & Auditing

Comprised of highly specialized professionals who share expertise and ideas to include:

  • Financial Accounting
  • Risk Identification
  • Internal Controls
  • Risk Management
  • Forensic Accounting
  • Process Improvement
  • Financial Systems Modernization

This COE leverages a concentration of accounting and auditing knowledge and resources to provide practical and efficient solutions to financial risks and challenges that our government clients face every day. We support clients in preparing for and ultimately obtaining a clean audit opinion.

Enterprise Performance

Includes capabilities, resources, and intellectual knowledge in the areas of:

  • Database and Records Management
  • Logistics
  • Data Visualization and Statistical Analysis
  • IT Systems Engineering and Integration

This COE supports the design, development, and implementation of technical and operational analysis, planning and performance measurement services, testing, and configuration management.

Acquisition Solutions

Facilitates sharing insight and ideas among subject matter experts that are focused on procurement requirements such as:

  • Spend Plan Development and Management
  • Solicitation Development
  • Award Determination
  • Contract Administration
  • Contract Closeout

This COE provides a knowledge repository for related practice areas including cradle-to-grave full life cycle acquisition management support, unliquidated obligation (ULO) reduction and funds recovery support, and acquisition assessment services. Additionally, the SMEs provide solid and proven acquisition planning. Our team assists our clients with developing programs and program milestones for large acquisition requirements.
